Farmland in Kenton

Kenton is a small Parish in Mid-Suffolk,consisting of approximately 83 Households, lying 2 miles to the North East  of Debenham and 6 miles to the South of Eye. At the last count the Parish has 173 registered electors. The housing lies mainly oriented along Low Rd/Eye Rd, and consists of a typical mix of early cottages and farmhouses, with the more recent addition of bungalows and several very recent, small housing developments. The surrounding countryside is principally arable farmland producing grain, sugar beet and oilseed rape. To add variation there is now a herd of long horn cattle and a commercial orchard.

Kenton is unusual historically in possessing two manor houses, Kenton Hall and Suddon Hall.

The community is part of Central Suffolk and North Ipswich parliamentary constituency and lies in Thredling division of Suffolk County Council and the the Worlingworth ward of Mid-Suffolk District  Council.
